JYS demands mass promotion to all students of Jammu region
6/6/2020 10:15:12 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 6: Urging upon the government to end the uncertainty with regard to the future of millions of students of Jammu Pradesh, Vice President of Jammu Yuva Sanghatan (JYS) Advocate Rishi Badyal said that mass promotion of all students is the only option in the present circumstances as the pandemic is outside the home.
He said that it was practically impossible to hold the exams in the present scenario wherein the fast spreading Corona pandemic had posed grave risks to the life in general.
“Any assembly of people or even small gatherings could prove disastrous in view of ever increasing number of infected people. In such circumstances, holding exams would only amount to exposing the children to Coronavirus,” Badyal said.
Expressing further concern over the confusion prevailing with regard to the opening of educational institutions, Badyal called upon the administration to refrain from making irresponsible statements without proper application.
“Badyal lambasted that the University of Kashmir has already decided to give mass promotion to the students of Valley but the Administrators of University & Colleges of Jammu Pradesh are still in deep sleep as they are not taking this pandemic seriously. He said that all moves of the Govt. needed to be well calculated and thoroughly deliberated in the light of prevalent circumstances and sensitivities involved.
“The lives of students Jammu Pradesh can’t put into risk only to satisfy the more loyal than the king attitude of some overzealous bureaucrats,” Badyal said.
Seeking early announcement of mass promotion to all students of Jammu Province, he said that formal orders needed to be issued immediately in view of growing tensions amongst the students.
