| CUJ establishes Covid-19 crisis counseling cell | | |

JAMMU, June 12: To ensure mental health and well-being of the students amid the corona virus outbreak, Cluster University of Jammu has established Covid Crisis Counseling and Mental Health Intervention Services under the aegis of Office of Dean Students Welfare with a psychological task force for mitigating psychological needs of the students. The services were inaugurated by Prof Anju Bhasin, Vice Chancellor, CLUJ. The Vice Chancellor emphasized on the need and importance of Counseling especially in the present testing times when the world is confronted with a massive obstacle in the form of Corona Virus. She further added that this online counseling is a medium to respond to the mental health intervention needs of our students especially those who are in distress and need help to fight their depression and anxieties. Dr. Manisha Kohli, Convener, CCMHS informed that more than 300 students have got themselves registered and are availing this facility by filling up essential information and details of problems being faced, task force attends to problems of students and provide professional help and counseling for the redressal of their grievances. |
