JMC Mayor kick starts development works

Jammu, June 29: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta along with various other officers conducted an extensive tour in the areas of Narwal & its adjoining locality.
He kick started the construction / renovation of parks situated at National Enclave Mohalla of ward No: 49 in terms of sitting arrangements i.e. installation of suitable Benches for the visitors as well as pacca walkway in the Centre of Park, Railing System and other Modern facilities for the Morning / Evening walkers. It was the long pending demands of the inhabitants of these localities as there is no other park in the nearby area for their children to play and general public for morning & evening walk. Mayor was told that these parks are being developed as an estimate cost of five lakhs only. Locals thanked the Mayor and Councillor for visiting their locality & fulfilling their demands.
Mayor along with Madam Triprita Devi Councillor of ward No: 66, concerned Engineering Wing of Division –III, Tara Chand Prominent BJP Leader and other residents of the locality of ward also visited Lower Roop Nagar & surrounding areas and reviewed the ongoing renovation work of park in the said locality which is being developed at the estimate cost of rupees five lakhs only with all the updated facilities i.e. proper Pacca Walkways, beautiful benches for sitting arrangements, Green plants and other amusement activities for the children.
Mayor appreciated the concerned Councillor as well local residents who are taking keen interest in the overall development of this park as they have also contributed voluntarily by collecting amount from their own pockets in addition to allotted funds i.e. Rupees five lakhs so that this park be developed as one of the best parks in the city and set an example for other wards.
Later Mayor also visited various localities i.e Akalpur, Sangrampur of Ward No: 75 alongwith Sh. Rajinder Singh Chib District President Jammu Rural BJP, Local Leaders of BJP as well as Prominent inhabitants of the wards and listened to the various Problems being faced by the residents as this ward has been newly included in the Jammu Municipal Corporation and required all types of development works with additional funds as almost all the lanes, drains are mostly kacha ones, roads are broken and dirty water often enters in the low lying areas of this ward and numbers of villages have been included in ward which have spread over more than 15 Kmts area from all the sides. Mayor assured that all their issues will be resolved shortly by providing additional manpower as well as funds. Mayor told that Jammu Municipal Corporation has already started the development / renovation of all the city parks, disiliting of all the Nallahas in view of the coming rainy season, development of water bodies, installation of 19 numbers of fountains and various other development activities to make Jammu a neat, clean and green city.
