| Omar, Mehbooba could not muster guts to speak on Geelani’s resignation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 29: ‘Famous’ for immediately reacting on national and international issues through social media, guarded silence maintained by two former chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti on Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s resignation has raised many eye-brows.
Since morning people were hoping that Omar Abdullah would tweet on Geelani’s resignation but he preferred to remain silent. Similarly there is no tweet on Geelani’s resignation from Mehbooba Mufti’s twitter account being operated by her daughter.
By resigning from the Hurriyat Conference and levelling allegations of embezzlement against his own colleagues, Geelani has exposed many so both the former chief ministers could not muster guts to participate in the debate.
Through her twitter account, Mehbooba Mufti availed every opportunity to taunt BJP and other political parties on national and international issues. But her silence on Geelani’s resignation has exposed her duplicity.
Same is the story of Omar Abdullah, since morning the former chief minister has not tweeted. He has only re-tweeted news about terror attack in Pakistan. |
