Early times Report
Jammu, June 30: Seeking filling up of all vacant posts, Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) today appealed to the Government to complete the pending selection process of Junior Coaches in Jammu and Kashmir. “There is no scope for our livelihood of the coaches who were interviewed but their selection process was not complete despite directions from the J&K High Court,” said J&K Apni Party, senior youth leader, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan. Khan alleged that the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has failed to fill-up pending vacant posts since 2014 in Jammu and Kashmir which has led to the feeling of alienation among the candidates who have been waiting for the recruitment process to start. During a press conference here, J&K Apni Party, senior youth leader, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan said that the Youth Sports Service Council of Jammu and Kashmir from 2014 till 2020 has failed to fill-up vacant posts of coaches. Instead of encouraging sports activities among youth, he said, this delaying tactics will discourage youth looking for their career despite playing at Union Territory, State level, inter-State level, national and international level. He said that criteria should be fixed for the sports persons for their selection as coaches or junior coaches who have played at different levels within Union Territory, inter-state, national and international level.
