Jammu, June 30: After startling revelations by hawk leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, one thing has become clear that ongoing so-called ‘movement’ in Kashmir Valley is nothing but a ‘money minting’ game-plan of some leaders who are exploiting innocent youth in the name of religion.
Geelani, who himself had exploited youth for years together, had alleged that some people sitting across LoC were luring Kashmiri youth towards drugs and the “drugged youth were not in their senses”.
The former Hurriyat chairman had also stated that the “Kashmir’s freedom struggle was reduced to mere drug abuse and serving Pakistan’s interests. He had also accused some people in the amalgam of resorting to “financial irregularities and taking decisions on behalf of him (Geelani) without his consent.”
During the last one year one thing has become clear that most of the terrorist and separatist leaders were involved in smuggling drugs and other banned narcotics.
Money earned through narcotic smuggling is used to sustain terrorism in J&K.
“I sent messages to you through various means so the next course of action could be decided but all my efforts were in vain.
Now that the sword of accountability is hanging over your heads for the financial and other irregularities, you thought of calling the advisory committee meeting,” Geelani wrote in his letter.
Words in the letter are a clear indication that there are financial irregularities because money sent from across the border to help terrorists was also pocketed by some Hurriyat leaders.
