65 fresh positive, 674 active positive cases, 12 recovered and 23 deaths occurred so far in north Kashmir

KUPWARA, July 1: Out of 198, Sixtyfive fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 674 active positive cases, 1756 are cumulative, 12 recovered and 23 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date.
According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 01, 2020 (Wednesday), In Baramulla district, again there was an spike in the positive cases and 49 fresh positive cases including 02 travelers and 47 others were reported today, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases also that have gone up to 909, and the active positive cases stands at 507, and cumulative recovered cases are 385, including of 04 while as 17 deaths including of today have occurred so far in this district.
In Kupwara district, 16 fresh positive cases including 01 traveler and 15 others have been reported today, while as there are 553 cumulative cases, 136 are active positive cases, cumulative recovered 412 including of 04 as on date, and 05 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora district, no fresh positive case has been reported in this north Kashmir district today, whereas 294 are cumulative cases, 31 are active positive, 262 are cumulative recovered including 04 recoveries as on date and 01 death has occurred so far.
Meanwhile, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara today said that the Health department has rendered exemplary service during COVID-19 pandemic across district Kupwara.
The CMO said that the procurement of the items has been done from Govt e marketplace (GEM) portal and after following proper codal formalities in vogue.
She added that all the required health care facilities, dietary facilities were provided to the inmates as well as covid staff as decided by the committee members framed for the said purpose.
CMO said, “Extensive screening of population in Red Zones and Buffer zone under Covid-19 protocol was carried out and around 61137 souls till date has been screened and in this regard about 28 RRT teams were deployed for the purpose throughout the district”.
