Sarpanchs, Panchs up in arms against PMGSY & TRB const company

UDHAMPUR, 1 July: While maintaining complete social distancing Sarpanchs, Panchs & locals of 10 Panchayats of Udhampur today staged strong protest against TRB construction Company also burnt the effigy of the said company & PMGSY deptt. They alleged of using Sub Stranded Material in the ongoing Jib Thathi (Garhi & Gatiyal Morh) road widening work under PMGSY.
While addressing to media persons, Sarpanch from Muttal Panchayat, Makkhan Kumar said that the above said construction work was allotted to TRB construction company but due to the political interference of some local leaders construction company had sublet the construction to inexperienced contractor who is close aide of local political leader which is contravention of tender provision of PMGSY. He also said that few days back due to the collision of concerned J.E’s & Contractor, Dhanu Bridge was also damaged due to the substandard material used from the Local Dudhar Nallah which was also constructed by the same Contractor.
Further, Sarpanch from Barolla Panchayat Irshad Mohd & Sarpanch from Neeli Nallah Panchayat, Sunil Manohar sought stern legal action against TRB construction company. They also urged to Hon’ble Lt Governor G.C Murmu to blacklist the TRB construction company who is continuously compromising the quality of material in its construction work. They also lambasted the PMGSY department for their casual & ill approach towards the suffering of common people.
Locals demanded to repair the Dhanu Bridge or construct alternate bridge to ease the suffering of people.
Various Sarpanchs, Panchs besides locals were also present.
