7/1/2020 9:50:44 PM
Early Times REport

Jammu, July 1: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) today staged a protest demonstration against unscheduled power cuts, improper water supply, shabby condition of roads and no street lights.
To highlight their demands, the protest was organised by Vaibhav Mattoo, Gurvinder Bhatia, Raj Kumar Lagotra, Amandeep Singh, Vipul Bali, Darshan Gupta, Sunil Gupta, Rahul Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Sham Lal and others.
The demonstration was staged by J&K Apni Party. Speaking on the occasion, senior youth leader, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan alleged that the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner, and Jammu Mayor has neglected ward number 40 of Talab Tillo giving rise to the issues being faced by the public.
One of the JKAP leaders, Gurvinder Bhatia alleged that “The JMC has not installed any street lights in the said ward. The condition of roads and lanes is also deplorable and it is causing problems for the commuters and locals.”
Bhatia alleged that the situation of roads is in shabby condition near Sheetal Palace.
“There is shortage of drinking water and uninterrupted power supply continues to make the lives difficult for the people amid hot summers,” alleged Vaibhav Mattoo. Mattoo was concerned over the alleged ignorance of the JMC Commissioner and Jammu Mayor.
Meanwhile, another youth leader, Amandeep Singh threatened that if their demands to install street lights, supply of drinking water, making availability of water tankers, uninterrupted electricity supply, and required construction work of roads/lanes in ward number 40.
“If demands are not accepted within two weeks, we will come on the roads and Geharo, the Commissioner, JMC and Jammu Mayor,” Singh warned.
