Speaking to Early Times, senior official in the department privy to the development ruled out any bungling or misappropriation in the scheme and termed it as business rivalry, adding that after SRTC failed to provide the vehicles, the department after proper procedure took up the matter with Director Food who in return approached the concerned secretary and lastly after the approval from the Finance department the private vehicles were used for lifting of the ration after proper RO.
