Early Times Report

Jammu, July 1: Editor-in-Chief, Early Times, Munish Gupta, has appealed to the administration not to turn a blind eye towards the sufferings of the residents of Rani Talab Digiana area.
Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency, said, “ Residents of Rani Talab Digiana area are facing immense hardships due to authorities not repairing the roads and getting the clogged drains cleaned. The denizens of this area are facing immense hardships in the sweltering summer heat.” Munish said, “Helmsmen cannot just ignore their sufferings. They are duty bound to provide people with the basic amenities, which include getting the dilapidated roads and choked drains repaired. They cannot sit over these issues and leave people in lurch.”
Meanwhile, residents of Rani Talab Digiana, while talking to Early Times said, “Our pleas to provide us with the basic amenities have no takers. Roads in our area have not been repaired for a longtime. The open drains filled with filth have become part of our lives.” They said, “The people who came here to seek votes ahead of the municipal elections had promised us moon and stars but they failed to live upto our expectations.”
“We are not asking for anything big. We just want to get our basic issues addressed. The helmsmen need to pay some attention towards our plight. The dirty water flowing through these uncovered drains and the stink emanating from it have made our lives miserable,” residents added.
