Terrorists using civilians as shields

Terrorists attacking security forces personnel and civilians at crowded places in Kashmir have added to the fear psychosis prevalent in the Valley.
Earlier this week a 4-year old minor was killed in a terrorist attack in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara area. On Wednesday morning a 65-year old man was killed in cross firing in north Kashmir’s Sopore area. The photo of a 3-year old grandson of the man wailing over his bullet riddled body went viral on social media.
According to the officials, bullets were fired by the terrorists who were hiding in the attic of a mosque. In the attack a CRPF jawan and civilian were killed, while the 3-year old boy was rescued.
The terrorists carrying out attacks in crowded places and using civilians as shields have once again proved that these gun-totting Pakistan sponsored terrorists can go to any extent to keep the pot boiling. Such incidents should serve as an eye-opener for the some people in Kashmir, who still believe that Pakistan is their well wisher. They should realize that Pakistan has been using them as cannon fodder for the past three decades and will continue to do so in future also. Pakistan knows that it cannot fight a conventional war with India and terrorists are its only tools to keep the conflict alive.
The terrorists active in Kashmir are not missing a single chance to bleed the security forces and the civilians. Pakistan and its machinery are working overtime in the Valley to shed the blood. The government to a great extent has succeeded in taking care of the Pak stooges in the Valley but the terrorists who are being pushed into this side by Pakistan are indulging in cold blooded murders to make their presence felt. The local Kashmiri boys who are being lured by the terrorists to join their ranks get killed within 1 to 3 months of them becoming the terrorists. So naked dance of the death is continuing and process of turning Kashmir into a big graveyard is on.
If people of Kashmir have to live a peaceful life they will have to standup and call spade a spade. They have to unequivocally condemn the acts of terrorists and send a message that they cannot tolerate the terrorism anymore. If they just keep on acting as mute spectators and getting carried away by the propaganda unleashed by Pakistan they will reach nowhere and bloodshed will continue.
