Busy in staging protests by compromising social distancing norms
‘Congress and BJP are two sides of the same coin’
7/1/2020 11:49:27 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 1: It seems ridiculous that when entire country has been grappling with COVID-19, the Sate unit of Congress as well as the Bhartiya Janta Party is following the same lead to bring themselves in limelight by staging protests by compromising social distancing norm.
The leaders and workers of these both parties have virtually forgotten the guidelines regarding social distancing while staging protest demonstration just for the sake of media publicity. Although Prime Minister Modi had recently in his address to nation had expressed his concern about violation of social distancing and other guidelines being made by the public but the BJP leaders seems to be least bothered to listen to PM.
Putting aside the social distancing, the leaders and workers of Congress and BJP party staged protest demonstration today at different places, which also raised serious point toward the enforcement agencies, which played role of just mute spectator.
A large number of Congress leaders led by former Minister Raman Bhalla today staged a protest outside the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu against hike in fuel prices by throwing social distancing away and raised slogans against the Center Government led by Modi.
The publicity hungry leaders also engaged themselves in brief clash with police, while trying to process towards Div Com office. Many senior Congress leader including President, District President Urban Yougesh Sawhney, JKPCC Vice President Kanta Baan, JKPCC General Secretary Manmohan Singh, Spokesman Ravinder Sharma were part of this protest, who didn’t care about to follow social distancing and were standing very close to each other.
Some senior citizens of the Jammu while talking to Early Times said that on one side these leaders have been targeting and criticizing the Center Government for its wrong policies but forgot to keep remember the guidelines and continue to make violation in full public view despite the fact that COVID-19 cases are rising day by day and this pandemic is spreading its tentacles. They further said that they are doing this only to grab media publicity and they have nothing to do with the genuine issues of the general public, which are suffering a lot.
