Jammu July 2: Director Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Sudarshan Kumar today conducted extensive tour of Drabshalla, Trigham and Kishtwar Block of Kishtwar District and inspect various ongoing developmental works under MGNREGA, 14th FC, Back to Village and other works/schemes to be implemented at grassroot level.
Director was accompanied by ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, BDOs of various blocks, Xen ReW Kishtwar, VLWS, JEs, TA,s, GRS and supporting staff .
Director during his field visit laid stress on the subordinate staff to work with synergy and laid stress on people friendly approach towards implementation of public welfare schemes on ground.
Director advice for checks and balance and maintenance of ratio of 60:40 while implementing the MGNREGA in the District. He also inspect houses constructed under PMAY, cowsheds, parks and other works executed through RDD department.
Director also held a detail meeting with chairman Block Development Council who put forth various issues and problems faced by the PRIs including lack of accommodation, clarification on powers vested on PRIs/BDC Chairpersons, beside also laid stress for cooperation between the PRIs and officials of the RDD department.
They also demanded for release of material payments for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Chairman Marwah raise the issue of non functional of VSET in Marwah and Warwan blocks.
