JAMMU, July 2: Citizens’ Forum has requested Lieutenant Governor that while preparing Jammu Smart City project make sure the funds are utilized judiciously to convert the city into a most beautiful place in the country.
President Citizens Forum RK Chadha said that there is no hurry to spend the funds, adding that we have seen the result of mega shopping complex constructed at Jammu Bus Stand which is a badly conceived and constructed not as a beautiful harmonious building but as a match box type simple architectural design for a commercial setup only.
Chadha said Jammu city is unique in its natural habitat in whole of the country. It is surrounded three side by beautiful thick Forest and fourth side is running Tawi River , which makes this city the most unique and beautiful place to be developed in a professional way and converted into a place to be a great Tourism site. There is no harm in inviting suggestions from the Jammu public for its planning. We want the visitors approaching Jammu should see it a beautiful attractive city from a distance itself only.
