University of Jammu organizes national level online quiz

JAMMU, July 2: To commemorate the, “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”, the Red Ribbon Club, Department of Students’ Welfare, University of Jammu, Jammu in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, Health and Medical Department, Govt of Jammu & Kashmir organized two-day long National Level Online Quiz Competition based on the Theme," Better Knowledge for Better Care" from 26th to 7th June 2020. The quiz was open to all participants like Red Ribbon Club volunteers, students, scholars, teachers, employees and alumni of JU and Parents. The quiz contained 18 questions and each question carried 2 marks. The pass percentage of qualifying the quiz was 70%.
About 500 participants from different parts of India including Patiala, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu, Kashmir, Kargil, and Himachal Pradesh participated in Online – quiz competition. About 40 participants secured 100% while 53 achieved 90% and 388 participants achieved more than 70% and got qualified for online quiz. All the participants participated in the event with great enthusiasm and fervor.
The participants, who successfully qualified the quiz, were awarded with an e-certificate as a mark of appreciation.
The Online competition was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare, and Project Director, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, JKACS while it was was coordinated by Dr Meghna Dhar, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club, Deptt, of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.
