Penalty imposed on RTC Driver

JAMMU, July 3: Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (MD JKRTC), Angrez Singh Rana today issued an order wherein penalty has been imposed against, CB Driver recoverable from his salary, for gross negligence of legitimate duties and ticket less travelling.
The MD, JKRTC imposed the penality after “ARTO Kishtwar/ Doda along with associate member conducted surprise checking of JKRTC vehicles and accordingly submitted report vide No. ARTO/KTR/2020-21/114 dated 30.06. 2020, which indicates that the CB Driver was found indulging into the act of misappropriation of Corporation revenue and accordingly they recommended the punishment against erring crew as per provision contained in Employees (Discipline & Conduct Regulation, 2012).”
In view of magnanimity of offence which is punishable under Rule-17, the MD JKRTC imposed the calculated penalty of Rs 22,446/-(Twenty two thousand four hundred forty six) on the erring CB Driver recoverable from his salary. He will also furnish an undertaking to the effect that he will not repeat similar practice in future.
Angrez Singh Rana stated that ‘the activities of any employee which are inimical to Corporation interests will not be tolerated particularly in a situation of financial distress and warned all employees of Corp. to be punctual and perform their legitimate duties with utmost dedication and sincerity.’
