Jammu, July 3: As per the guidelines of The Ministry of Human Resource Development has paired Cluster University of Jammu with Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Tirunelveli and Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore Tamilnadu under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Programme for promoting national integration through systematic exchange between J&K and Tamil Nadu in the cultural, Literary and linguistics fields.
EBSB Wing of Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu coordinated the two day online webinar on “Crafting Learner Potential through Career Counselling” for the faculty and students under Ek Bharath Shretsah Bharat (EBSB) programme jointly organized by Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Tirunelveli and Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore Tamil Nadu under EBSB. Under the initiative of EBSB Club of Cluster university of Jammu, 174 students and 20 Faculty members participated from the five constituent colleges and PGI schools of cluster university of Jammu. The webinar was held on 2nd July, 2020 and 3rd July, 2020.
The webinar began with a welcome address by Prof. A Vimala, Dean of Education & coordinator EBSB. Then Prof Dr. P Kaliraj, Vice Chancellor Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and Prof. Dr. K Pitchumani, Vice Chancellor Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli emphasized the urgent need and benefits of career counselling for the students of J&K.
The webinar was also addressed by Prof. A Vimala, Dean of Education & coordinator EBSB highlighting the importance of career preparation and future skills. The next session was headed by Mr. Narendra Rathnaraj, Research Scholar, Dept. of Ext. & Career Guidance who enlightened the students about various levels in the preparation of Central Govt. Examinations.
The webinar was coordinated by Dr. Jasvinder Singh, Nodal officer, EBSB Cluster University Jammu under the aegis of Dr Twinkle Suri Dean Students Welfare with the coordination of Dr. S. Venkatesh, Director EBSB, Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, Tamilnadu and Principals, Deans, NSS Programme officers, Coordinators EBSB of constituent colleges and schools of Cluster University Jammu.
