Militant hideout busted during Dodassan Bala op; arms, ammunition recovered

Rajouri, July 4: Security forces in Rajouri district on Saturday busted a militant hideout during an operation in Dodassan Bala village area of Rajouri’s Thanamandi sub division recovering arms and ammunition from it.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Chandan Kohli said on a specific information, Police team alongwith 38 RR unit of Armyjointly launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Dodassan Bala and Dodassan Pain areas of Thanamandi police station.
“ During search operation, a militant hideout was busted that was established in a hidden manner near bushes in Dodassan area.” SSP said.
SSP said that forces recovered 01 UBGL, 11 UBGL grenades, 14 AK Magazines, 02 Chinese Pistols, 02 Pistol magazines, 01 Chinese grenade, Detonators with IED making material, 01 Pressure mine, 01 Pika rounds and 920 AK rounds.
FIR no 130/2020 u/s 120 B/121/122 IPC 3/25 arms act 3 Explosive Substance Act stands registered in PS Thannamandi and further investigation is going on.
He further said that security forces are successfully working on Counter Insurgency front with a number of successful operations conducted in Rajouri in recent past.
