BJP govt failed to solve problems of poor people: Jugal Kishore Sharma
7/4/2020 11:47:46 PM
Early Times Report

REASI, July 4: While continuing its protest against indiscriminate price hike in Petrol and Diesel, Former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma today protested with his supporters in Block Pouniof District Reasi and submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar Pouni to be sent to President of India.
While speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore said that for the last so many days, the Government has been increasing the prices of petrol and diesel, in the process putting undue extra burden on the pockets of common People. Jugal Kishore said that the Central Government had amassed huge profits on account of exorbitantly increased central excise duties on petrol and diesel, even as prices of crude oil in international markets have been at a record low. Rather than passing on the benefits of the low cost of procurement to the people, the government had deliberately kept the Price high by increasing the excise duty, he said.
People of the country are already facing losses in businesses while jobs are drying up, the economy has slowed down but people are being harassed by the BJP led govt.
While lambasting the government Jugal Kishore said that public will not tolerate this loot of people’s money by the Modi government and demanded immediate roll back of the rising prices.
Further he said that common people, the middle class, farmers, transporters and small and medium businesses are “bearing the pain” of high petro rates.
Farmers cannot afford to run tractors now with such a steep hike in diesel rates.
Other present were senior Congress leader Munshi Ram Salalia, Advocate Vijay Sharma , Distt Working President Congress Amit Sharma, BDC Chairman Pouni Pawan Sharma, Bishan Magotra, Ajay Salalia, Block President Pouni Jugal Kesar, Sarpanchs, ex-Sarpanches and other party workers.
