Early Times Report

Jammu, July 4: Tajinder Singh Social activist urged the Union Finance Minister to end the differential treatment with the businesses fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir and demand a special stimulus package covering the lockdown period since August 2019 in order to revive the business activity in this trouble hit region. Singh said it is extremely disheartening that the industry and other business communities of Jammu and Kashmir have been superficially covered the benefit of special package of Rs.20000 crore announced by the government of India to revive the economy of the country, However Tajinder said that the industrial sector trade and commerce activities in J&K have come to grinding halt since August 05 2019. “Whatever left in trade and other business activity was crushed by covid19 lockdown. Be it agriculture, horticulture, Tourism, and hotel industry, all the mainstay of J&K economy is under depression since August 2019. Tajinder Singh said that in Jammu region the tourism and it’s allied sectors especially the hotel industry is completely shut by the suspension of The Vaishno Devi ji yatra, same is the case with Jammu agriculture sector especially it’s basmati producing farmers who have suffered a huge financial distress because of prevailing situation.
Tajinder Singh said that J&K business sector has always been struggling to Survive amid crippling law and order situation and other natural calamities. “Need of the hour is that the Union Finance Minister should not Treat J&K business and industrial sector at par with other counterparts in rest of country “.
The government of India should whole heartedly support the industrial and other business sectors of J&K so, as to mitigate the sufferings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Tajinder stressed.
