| 02 bovine smugglers arrested, 08 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Samba, July 4: District Police Samba foiled yet another bovine smuggling bid in successive day with the arrest of 02 bovine smugglers and by rescuing 08 bovines at naka Phulpur, Supwal.
Acting on reliable information regarding smuggling of bovines by foot through border road Phulpur, Supwal via basanter towards Srinagar, a Police Party of PP Supwal headed by I/C PP Supwal laid a special naka at border road Phulpur, Supwal and arrested 02 bovine smugglers who were trying to smuggle 08 bovines by foot towards Srinagar.
The accused persons have been identified as Mureed Ahmed S/o Hussain Ali R/O W.No.08 Gurah Kalyal, Ramkot, Kathua and Shipaiya S/o Saraj Din R/O Chapaki, Marheen, Kathua. Both of them were arrested on spot. All the 08 cattles were rescued & shifted to safer place.
A case FIR No. 169/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act registered at P/S Samba and investigation taken up.
