DDC finalizes arrangements for “Kissan Pakhwada” awareness campaign

SAMBA, July 4: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, convened an officers’ meeting to finalise arrangements for holding district and block level Kissan Pakhwada awareness campaigns in the district from 7th to 21st July 2020, here today. Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjeev Verma, Chief Horticulture Officer Anil Grokha, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Sat Pal Verma, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr. Surinder Gupta Assistant Director Fisheries Joginder Sharma, Lead District Manager, Ajay Koul besides other concerned officer attended the meeting.
DDC held threadbare discussion with the concerned officers regarding holding awareness camps and Kissan Melas in the district. He asked the departments to put up kiosks displaying their departmental schemes, achievements, financial outlay and other aspects for generating a wide spread awareness in the district for farmers benefit.
Chief Agriculture Officer informed that proposals regarding venues and dates for holding awareness camps during ‘Kissan Pakhwada’ have been finalized. He apprised that 2 mega district level Kissan awareness camps shall be held at Ramgarh (Sawankha) and Nud on 7th July and 11th July respectively while 8 block level awarness camps shall be organised at Jarh Abtal on 10 July, at Khada Madana on 13 July, at Gurwal on 14 July, at Sarthi on 15 July, at Harsath on 16 July, at Taloor on 17 July, at Kangwala in 18 July and at Data Talab on 20 July.
DDC exhorted upon the officers to put in dedicated efforts for achieving the 100 per cent KCC saturation and work in a coordinated manner to make the Kissan Pakhwada a grand success. He asked the district officers for involving representatives of Panchayati Institutions including the Chairman of Block Development Council for making the event successful.
