Indian Folk Dance competition organized for first time in UK | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 4: Indian Folk Dance competition 2020 (Online) was organized by JA Fashion fame Ankusha Sharma, who hails from J&K. The purpose of this show was to unite Indian culture on one platform in UK; it was an amazing experience to work with designated people. All the participants were awesome and did very well. Everyone appreciated this Folk dance concept. It was a unique concept in the race of Bollywood and Hollywood dance forms. It is very important to introduce our new generation with their roots of culture, tradition and rituals basically folk dance express much more about your tradition and culture. The judges of the Indian folk dance competition 2020 were Shine Krishna, Chief Administrative officer, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, a classical dancer and award winning folk dance choreographer based in London. Jay Kumar Choreographer and dance entertainer from London. Jay Jogadiya, choreographer and dancer from Gujarat, India and Neelam Pathania Abrol celebrity Bollywood/TV actress award winning folk dancer from Jammu, India The total 22 contestants selected in 1st round and in the final round 12 of them were awarded. The awards recipients were Vinita Suryanarayan, who got 1st prize, Janani Ramarathnam received 2nd prize and Chinnu Kishore got 3rd prize while Lakshita Singhadia received Grand prize. The consolation prizes were received by Ekta Taunk, Satti Phagura and Isha Abinandan Gupta. |
