41 fresh positive, 754 active positive cases, 34 recovered and 33 deaths in north Kashmir till date

KUPWARA, July 5: Out of 183 positive cases, forty one fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 754 active positive cases, 1934 are cumulative, 34 recovered and 33 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date.
According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 05, 2020 (Sunday), In Baramulla district, there are 17 fresh positive cases including 01 travelers, 16 others that were reported today, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases that have gone up to 1023, and the active positive cases stands at 561, and cumulative recovered cases are 439, including of 18 recoveries while as 23 death, next highest after Srinagar that have occurred so far in this district.
In Kupwara district, 20 fresh positive cases including 02 travelers and 18 others that were reported today, while as there are 604 cumulative cases, 168 are active positive cases, cumulative recovered are 429 including 11 recovereis as on date, and 07 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora district, 04 fresh positive cases have been reported in this north Kashmir district today including 01 travelers and 03 others, whereas 307 are cumulative cases, 25 are active positive, 279 are cumulative recovered including 05 recoveries as on date and 03 death has occurred so far.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress of sample collection from Red Zone areas identified in the district.m The meeting was informed that a target of 300 sample collection on daily basis was set in the district, of which 100 samples to be collected from Red Zone areas.
On the occasion, ADC constituted District and Tehsil level Committees who will ensure the target collection of samples on daily basis from containment and Red Zone areas.
The District Level Committee (DLC) constitutes District Health Officer, Abdul Gani Dar, two KAS officers, Jehangir Ahmad & Mohammed Iqbal and District Superintendent, Control Room Kupwara. The DLC will collect feedback on a daily basis from Tehsil Level Committees and can de-notify any containment zone accordingly.
Similarly, Tehsil Level Committees (TLC) were framed which shall comprise of concerned Tehsildar, BMO, SHO and BDC Chairperson. The TLC will have to make sample collection in containment zones as per the targets prescribed by the District Control Room on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, ADC stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the pace of sample collection in containment zones on priority basis to prevent further spread of COVID -19.
The District Administration had earlier issued SOPs for aggressive sampling of morbid, old age people, pregnant ladies, service providers and contacts of positive cases in Containment and Red zone areas.
