Early Times Report

Jammu, July 5: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTRJAC) was held today at Udhampur in which various issues of the teachers were discussed.
The meeting was held under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and was attended by District President Lekh Raj Parihar, Secretary Sukesh Khajuria, General Secretary Ravinder Singh Rathore and Chief Spokesman Bhushan Khajuria.
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issues of the teachers which need immediate attention of the concerned authorities for their resolution.
He said that regularisation of many ReTs is still pending and these teachers are facing a lot of problems mental as well as financially as some of them are due in 2018 . He demanded the comprehensive transfer policy for 3rd teachers, teachers grade II and teachers grade III who are working in the same schools for last more than fifteen years ; conversion of left out RRETs to teachers grade II and teachers grade III especially in Kashmir province; clearance of SSA salary arrears of RRETs prior to September 2018 and sanction of posts of masters in all the middle schools where posts of head teachers exist so that the salary provision of already suffering head teachers be settled once for all.
He appealed to the Principal Secretary School Education, Director School Education Jammu and Director School Education Kashmir to intervene personally and resolve all the issues of the teachers.
Meanwhile JKTJAC president expressed his great concern on the verifications of documents of the teachers as some CEOs/ZEOs are harassing all the teachers on the name of verification in spite of the fact that verifications of the degrees of many teachers have already been done by the department and urged the DSEJ to look into the matter and issue clear-cut directions in this regard.
