Kavinder, others pay tributes to Kargil martyr

Jammu, July 5: In a programme organized in Village Shamachak, falling under Marh constituency, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, alongwith BJP Vice President Thakur Narayan Singh and other leaders of party and family members of martry Udayman Singh, paid rich tributes to this brave soldier on his 21st anniversary of martyrdom for the cause of the nation during Kargil War in 1999.
Kavinder Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, said that Udaymaan Singh made supreme sacrifice while giving befitting reply to the enemy in Kargil at the young age of 19 years only and earned pride for his village, parents and the people of Jammu. His sacrifice has set an example for the young generations and would inspire them to contribute in defending the country and be ready to make any sacrifice.
Kavinder Gupta said that crores of people are born and die who do not leave any mark in the society but the brave soldiers like Udaymaan Singh write history and always remain in minds of people after achieving martyrdom. "Great and blessed are the mothers, who give birth to such warriors and feel pride in showering their dear ones in the service of motherland", Kavinder said this while saluting Marty's mother Kanta Devi and added that the nation is pride of her.
Thakur Narayan Singh said that brave Dogras of Jammu have always been on front foot in times of crisis and displayed their valour when needed. He said that Udaymaan Singh was a real Dogra hero, whose sacrifice cannot be described in words.
Besides BJP Jammu Rural District President Rajinder Singh Chib, District Vice President Anita Langeh, District General Secretary Kasturi Lal Sharma, father of the martyr Onkar Singh, his mother Kanta Devi, sisters Bandhana and Kanchan, Rajesh Singh, Darshan Singh and Panch Joginder Singh also paid their tributes.
