7/5/2020 11:42:44 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, July 5: A team of Nationalist Youth Farmers Organization (NYFO) headed by its President JKUT Er Rishi Kaul Kilam conducted a comprehensive tour of Suchetgarh border area to assess the present scenario of the border farmers in their area.
After taking the stock of the issues and problems of the farmers of the area they are living and cultivating their land at the risk of their lives because of the constant risk and threat from the other side of the border.
The farmers present alleged and feel that the administration is not very serious and concerned for their protection.
The bunkers for their emergency protection are not adequate to accommodate them during emergency.
It is ironic as per their version that how can two hundred people be accommodated in one bunker.
The authorities should apply their mind for this negligence. Er Rishi said while interacting with some farmers they expressed some genuine grievances like lack of irregular irrigation facilities, negligence of the concerned authorities by not providing timely quality seeds and fertilizers etc.
They also raised the issue of frequent and poor power cuts which leaves them in frustration because their electric water pumps do not function.
The NYFO President Er Rishi Kaul Kilam and his team members Mashqur Ahmed Bhat Vice President and Ibrahim Khan Vice President Youth NYFO ensured redressal of farmers grievances to the appropriate forum.
