SRINAGAR, July 6: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday presented chargesheet against officials of Education Department in engagement and regularization of ineligible Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teacher.
As per the reports, ACB presented chargesheet against Abdul Latief Khan R/o Khanpora Budgam in Case FIR No. 16/2017 P/S VOK (now ACB), under section 5(1)(c)(d) r/w 5(2) P.C Act Svt 2006 of J&K (amendment Act 2014 and 120–B, 201, 420, 467, 471/RPC.
The chargesheet was produced before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar, against the beneficiary Abdul Latif Khan, R/o Khanpora Budgam, and officials including Gh Hassan Hakeem, R/o Danger Pora Wadwan, Budgam, Abdul Aziz Malla, R/o Dooru Sebdan Budgam, Gh Nabi Shah, R/o Palpora Budgam, Ravindar Kumar Raina, R/o Kathwar Budgam, Noor Mohammad R/o Bathakh Pora, Nowshera Srinagar, and Gh Qadir Misger R/o Haji Bagh Buchpora Soura, Srinagar.
The instant case was registered by ACB on the allegations that the engagement and regularization of ineligible Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teacher was made, on the basis of fake and forged 10+2 marks certificates in Education Zone Hardapunzu, Budgam, the ACB said in a statement.
The investigation found that one Abdul Latif Khan was engaged as Rehbar-i-Taleem (ReT) in the year 2000 at Primary School Batapora in pursuance to conspiracy by then ZEO with other concerned officers/officials and accused beneficiary.
After a gap of three years of accused beneficiary’s engagement as ReT, his 10+2 marks certificate was confirmed fake by J&K BOSE, while he was not eligible for his initial engagement as ReT, the statement said.
Adding that in furtherance to the conspiracy the then ZEO Hardapanzoo and CEO Budgam processed and recommended regularization of services of the accused beneficiary as General Line teacher to DSEK where from the regularization order was issued, based on the recommendations of the then CEO.
All the accused except two deceased persons, were presented before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar, for further legal action. Further trial of the case will proceed in due course, the ACB said.
