DDC Rajouri launches Kissan Pakwada activities

RAJOURI, July 7: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Tuesday launched Kissan Pakhwada being observed from 07 July to 21 July 2020. The launching ceremony was held, here at Dakbunglow Rajouri.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kohli; Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohd Ashraf; Assistant Commissioner Development, Sushil Khajuria; District Panchayat Officer, Dr. Abdul Khabir; Chief Agriculture Officer, Vijay Kumar; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Mohd Younis; Chief Horticulture Officer, Madan Lal; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary; Zonal Head J&K Bank, Ashutosh Sareen; Lead District Manager, Sunil Sharma; BDC chairpersons, Sarpanchs, panchs and farmers were present on the occasion.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner said that Kisan Pakhwada is being observed to enhance the flow of advances in the agriculture sector and double the income of farmers by way of their 100 per cent involvement in agricultural related welfare schemes like KCC, PM-KISAN, RKVY, NMSA etc.
He asked the concerned officers to work in tandem to make the programme a grand success. He said them to achieve the target of hundred percent coverage of the farmers associated with agriculture, horticulture, sheep, fisheries and other allied activities under centrally sponsored schemes - PM Kisan and Kisan Credit Card scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner asked for the active involvement of the PRI members in the programme in order to get positive results. He also directed the concerned officers to make sure observance of Covid protection SOPs and guidelines, while carrying out various activities related to the programme.
Meanwhile, the DC handed over KCC cards to 20 progressive farmers to help them secure timely credit at reasonable rates of interest in a hassle-free manner.
A booklet containing information regarding the activities to be carried during the programme was also launched on the occasion.
The DDC urged upon all the farmers of the district to attend the camps to be organised at different locations by the district administration during the programme in order to get themselves enrolled under KCC scheme and other centrally sponsored schemes.
According to the schedule framed by the district administration, the camps would be held at BDO office Manjakote and Panjgrain on 08-07-2020, BDO office Doongi and Dhangri on 09-07-2020, PWD Dakbunglow Nowshera on 10-07-2020, BDO office Sunderbani and Siot on 11-07-2020, BDO Office Qila Darhal on 13-07-2020, BDO Office Koteranka and Rajnagar on 14-07-2020, BDO office Khawas on 15-07-2020, BDO office Kalakote and Mougla on 16-07-2020, Revenue Complex Thanamandi on 17-07-2020, BDO office Darhal on 18-07-2020, Agriculture Complex Khewra on 20-07-2020 and Zonal Office JK Bank Muradpur on 21-07-2020.
