ISM hosts awareness camp on COVID-19

JAMMU, July 7: In pursuance to the directions of Director ISM (Indian System of Medicine) Dr. Mohan Singh for providing AYUSH drugs beneficial for boosting immunity against COVID-19 pandemic and on the request of the Commandant CISF Gurjeet Singh, Medical Superintendent. Of Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu Dr. Aditi Sher organized an awareness/medical camp for distribution of Immune boosters at the CISF Unit Chatha, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion Commandant Gurjeet Singh, thanked Director, ISM, Dr. Mohan Singh for organizing the camp on his request and appreciated the distribution of Immunity boosting medicine among highly exposed CISF staff working in the Civil Airport and said that this gesture of the Health Department would lift the morale of these front line workers. Team of Doctors including Dr.Jatinder Kumar, Dr.Sandeep, Dr. Rozy, (Paramedical staff Sudhir Singh (pharmasist) and Neelam Sharma Yoga therapist) provided their services. Dr.Jatinder made the participants aware about the importance of the Ayurvedic immunity boosting medicines in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Sandeep briefed about the uses, dosage and contraindications of the medicines being distributed in the camp.
Dr. Konika Bhagat, Medical Officer Ayush, PHC Airport, who coordinated the organization of the camp, highlighted the importance of strong immune system for fighting against external diseases.
She advised the gathering to follow the Ministry of AYUSH’s self-care guidelines for preventive health measures and boosting immunity.
At the end commandant, Gurjeet Singh presented a token of respect to the team of Doctors for their selfless service.
