| Poonch locals accuse district administration of swindling COVID-19 funds | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, July 8: The Poonch administration has allegedly misused and flushed off the funds sanctioned for general public under the Corona Virus mitigation programme. The locals said that they are harassed by administration with no facilities under SOP being given to them adding that they were deprived of drinking water, medical facilities.
Locals such as Dr Sukhwinder Sanjay Raina, Advocate Amit Gupta and others informed that huge funds were released for masks in Poonch which has also been flushed of by Block Administration and provide lowest class masks among the citizens. “A show off machine of sanitization was installed in district hospital Poonch in the welcome ceremony of Baseer Khan, advisor to the Lieutenant Governor which has also been destroyed after one day of his visit,” they alleged. The locals have appealed Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu to direct Anti Corruption Bureau to inquire the matter and take strict action against Poonch district administration. |
