| Prof. Gupta asks govt to take care of public properties | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 8: The former Union Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has asked the high ups of J&K UT to take care of the public properties and see that these are not squinted specially those of public underta al.
He also refer to the sad plight of Kalakot Thermal Plant which was raised by spending crores of Rupees and why the Government authorities failed to achieve the desired results and the losses thus caused should be recovered from those politicians who fiddled with the operations of this important project.
Prof. Gupta also refer to the sad plight of Ranbir Canal where breaches have developed and large volume of costly land have submerged under the water and no action is being taken to repair the breaches and save the costly lands and villages which are under threat.
He regretted that this valuable irrigation source of Jammu region is being converted into a dirty Nallah because of filth and waste of unauthorized constructions numbering thousands on the banks of important irrigation source of Jammu.
Prof. Gupta also emphasized for effective measures to clear the auguan stables created by the crest while rulers who ruled the roost by taking advantage of controversial Article 370 and it would be visionary to take effective steps to correct the wrongs and this would make the masses to realize that how essential was the abrogation of obnoxious Article 370 and how the people are getting perks and benefits in the changed situation.
