Fake boss of Kotak Securities arrested by CB for duping gullible people

Jammu, July 9: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu arrested a fake regional head of Kotak Securities, who dupped gullible people on the pretext of investing in the company.
According to CB’s spokesperson, the fraudster Mohinder Paul Sharma resident of Chaloge, Bani of Kathua district has been booked in case FIR No. 23/2019 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu.
“The fraudster had impersonated as Regional Head of Kotak Securities to dupe the complainant and other gullible people of their hard earned money worth lacs of rupees on the pretext of investing in Kotak Securities”, the spokesperson said, adding that he was evading his arrest, Mohinder Paul Sharma was yesterday arrested from Muthi area of Jammu City after a team of Crime Branch Jammu put in strenuous efforts to track him both within and outside the UT.
“A written complaint lodged by one Dr. Sham Sunder Gupta resident of Shastri Nagar Jammu that Mohinder Paul Sharma has duped him and other people worth lacs of rupees on the pretext of Kotak Securities etc. The accused is presently on Police remand to face the investigation so that the investigation of the case is taken to its logical conclusion”, the CB Spokesperson said.
