POONCH, July 9: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, today convened a meeting of Sarpanchs of block Nangli to take first hand appraisal of the issues and demands of their areas. The meeting was attended by ACD, DPO, CEO Tourism, CEO Education, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Bank Officers, Executive Agency, CAHO, CSHO, DSWO, BMO, BDC Chairperson block Nangali, Sarpanchs and other concerned officers. The Sarpanchs projected the demands and issues of their areas including augmentation of power supply and medicare facilities, water scarcity, improvement in road condition, SBM, MGNREGA and PMAY payments etc. Deputy Commissioner, while describing PRI members as a bridge between the public and the district administration, urged upon them to put in extra efforts to take their areas to new heights of development. He stressed on the need for generating awareness among the general public about various welfare schemes being launched by the Government. He also asked them to actively take participate in the Kisan Pakwada programme to ensure the hundred percent coverage of the farmers of the district under KCC.
Deputy Commissioner assured the Sarpanchs that their genuine demands shall be redressed in a phased manner.
