DC Doda convenes DLTFC meet, fixes sale price for minor, processed minerals

DODA, July 9: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, chaired a meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DTFC) for Geology and Mining to review performance of the department besides fixing sale price of minor minerals (raw material) and processed minerals. The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding fixation of sale price of sand, Nallah bajri, Nallah boulders, Nallamukh RBM, crushing stone, aggregate assorted size ranging between 10mm-63mm, crushed washed sand and crushed dust on the basis of present market rates. As per the details, the rate for sand per tipper/200 cubic feet has been fixed at Rs.5120 at source level while as Nallah Bajri per tipper at Rs.3400, Nallah Boulder stone at Rs.1380 per tipper, (Nallamukh) RBM Rs.1170 per tipper, Crushing Stone Rs.1530 per tipper, Aggregate assorted size between 10mm- 63 mm Rs.4850 per tipper, crushed washed sand at Rs.3920 per tipper and crushed dust at Rs.2560 per tipper. Deputy Commissioner, who is also Chairperson of DLTFC, directed the concerned officers to implement the rates of minor minerals at source level in letter and spirit so that common people and the stakeholders do not face the brunt of exorbitant rates.
He emphasized the concerned agencies to strengthen the mechanism of checking illegal excavation of sand and other minerals from river beds and directed for immediate installation of nakkas at already identified locations.
Later, District Mineral Officer briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the present status of mining blocks in the district.
ASP Doda, ACD Doda, DFO Doda, ACR Doda, District Mineral Officer, Executive Engineer I&FC, PWD, PMGSY, AD Fisheries and other stakeholders were present in the meeting.
