Early Times Report

Srinagar, July 9: Leaders, cutting across party lines, strongly condemned the killing of BJP leader, his father and brother by militants in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Wednesday night.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter, former chief minister and vice-president of the National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah said, “Sorry to hear about the murderous terror attack on the BJP functionaries & their father in Bandipore earlier this evening. I condemn the attack. My condolences to their families in this time of grief. Sadly the violent targeting of mainstream political workers continues unabated”.
Another former CM Mehbooba Mufti said, “Cycle of violence in Kashmir continues to claim lives. Deepest condolences to his family”. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a tweet said, “ Distraught at the recurring spate of killing of political workers in Kashmir. While we express our unconditional sympathies with the family the administration has squarely failed in ensuring adequate security arrangements amid deteriorating security conditions”.
“We unequivocally condemn such brutal killings. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family” the PDP said on party twitter page.
The Peoples Conference (PC) in a tweet said, “We strongly condemn the dastardly killing of Wasim Bari along with his father and brother in Bandipora. This unjustifiable & unpardonable act of violence has left an entire family devasted. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this hour of grief”.
The Communist Party of India (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami in a statement this morning, also condemned the killings of BJP leader, his father Bashir Ahmed and brother Umar Bashir.
There is no justification to kill anybody and violence has no place in any civilized society. The brutal incident has deeply shaken the entire Kashmir Valley. 'The remaining family members of the victims will have to bear a lifelong pain. We condemn these killings in the strongest words and express deep sympathy with the bereaved family,' Mr Tarigami said.
