Clash over land dispute in Manwal

Jammu, July 10: In alleged attack over a under-privileged family in Manwal area of Jahajarkotli Police, the further actions will taken on the basis of revenue record as both the parties are claiming on land in questions.
According to Puran Chan son of Ramu Ram resident of Manwal, Ravi Singh and Naseeb Singh both the resident of same area attacked on him and his daughter in law with sharp edges weapons. “We went to Police Post Manwal to register our complaint, the incharge of Police Post asked us to go to hospital for medical. We have medical report from GMC hospital Jammu, but now Police is not taking any action in the matter said, Puran Chand, adding that duo who attacked him are roaming free.
“We cultivated our land measuring around seven Kanal in village Manwal, next duo Ravi and Naseeb Singh reached in the field with tractor, to re-cultivate the land, we objected, but they tried to kill my d aughter in law by running tractor over her, she has injuries on her body. They too attacked on my when I tried to object”, said Puran Chand, adding that they were visiting Police Station Jhajar Kotli to get registered their complaint, but no one is listening them.
SDPO Nagrota, Mohan Lal Sharma when contacted said that both the parties received injuries in a scuffle took place on land dispute. “Both parties are claiming that they own the land in question, we have sought a Revenue report, further actions will taken on basis of revenue report”, he said, adding that complaints of both parties have been registered as Police Post Manwal.
