78 fresh positive, 1000 active positive cases, 42 deaths so far in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA, July 10: Out of 387 positive cases, seventy eight fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 1000 active positive cases, cumulative cases crossed over 2296, while only 08 have recovered and 42 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date.
According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 10, 2020 (Friday), In Baramulla district, since the outbreak of the pandemic diseases there were 36 fresh positive cases that were reported today including 09 travelers and 27 others, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases that have gone up to 1251, and the active positive cases stands at 707, and cumulative recovered cases are 513 including 07 recoveries today while as 31 deaths, next highest after Srinagar that have occurred so far in this district.
In Kupwara district, 34 fresh positive cases that were reported today including 05 travelers and 29 others while there is an increase in cumulative cases that have gone up to 709 cases, 243 are active positive cases, cumulative recovered are 458 as on date, and 08 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora district, 08 fresh positive cases have been reported including 01 traveler and 07 others in this north Kashmir district today, whereas 336 are cumulative cases, 50 are active positive, 283 are cumulative recovered including 01 as on date, and 03 death has occurred so far.
Meanwhile there are reports that, among 36 positive cases in Baramulla district, eleven people, including the driver, a vegetable vendor and six women tested positive for Covid-19 virus in Uri on Friday.
Sources while quoting a health official as having said these Covid inflected persons are residents of Uri, Dawaran, Zainpora Boniyar, Peerniyan, Lachipora and two from Udoora Baramulla.
He said their Covid samples were taken yesterday for testing from SDH Uri and Boniyar.
“Daughter and wife of a Covid patient from Dawaran Uri who was infected with the Covid virus on 07 July also tested positive for Covid-19 virus today,”he said.
Officials said two Udoora Baramulla residents who tested positive for Covid-19 virus were guests of Batangi Boniyar woman who was tested positive for Covid-19 some days ago.
He further said 65 persons were tested positive for Covid -19 virus in two blocks Uri and Boniyar so far in which 30 tested positive in Uri medical block and 35 tested positive in Boniyar Block.
He said in 65 persons, one died,33 recovered and 31 are still suffering from virus and infected people have been placed in different Covid-hospitals in Uri.
