ATA felicitates corona warrior teachers

Jammu, July 10: All Teachers Association (ATA) Jammu and Kashmir has kick started a campaign to honour the corona warriors. In its first initiative in this direction, six government teachers were felicitated by the association.
According to Mrignayani Slathia, who heads the association, the six teachers have been honoured for their contribution in working among the masses in different capacities to contain the risk of the Covid-19 virus. She said, “It's an initiative by All Teachers Association Jammu and Kashmir to provide due respect and dignity to teacher fraternity.” The teachers who were felicitated on the occasion included Mohinder Kumar Goswami (GHS Batote Ramban), Suresh Kumar (GBMS Pindi Charkan Kalan Arnia), Yasir Bashir Mir (GGMS Banihal Jammu), Mohd Ryaz Raina (Govt Boys Model HSS Thanamandi), Rajinder Singh (zone Chassana Reasi) and Naseer Ahmed Dar (PS Darpura). Meanwhile, the All Teachers Association has hailed Commissioner-Secretary Education Asgar Samoon for starting community teaching initiative. Hailing the decision, Mrignayani Slathia said, “The association stands with the decision to start community schooling. It is the most effective weapon amid Covid-19 pandemic. We are ready for the community schooling which will bring new hopes for the students as well as the society.
