Early Times Report

Jammu, July 10: Notwithstanding repeated reminders issued by the government, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri apparently is not willing to disengage a backdoor computer operator engaged in office of Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Rajouri.
According to sources the computer operator has allegedly amassed disproportionate property beyond his known sources of income by misusing his position. “Using his money power, the backdoor appointee has convinced the DC Rajouri and a lobby of corrupt officials/officers in DC office to save him”, sources told Early Times.
They said that the Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj J&K government, recently asked the DC Rajouri to send action taken report into the previous communiqué, but due to adamant approach of the DC, the reminder remained unanswered times till date.
“I am directed to refer you to this Departments letter No:RDD/CPGRAMS/18/2019, Dated: 03-02-2020 on the subject “complaint lodged by Narinder Kumar” and to say that, despite the urgency expressed in the matter, the requisite compliance report is still awaited which may kindly be expedited to this Department today positively through return mail/fax. Matter may be treated as Most Urgent”, copy communiqué sent to DC Rajouri by Deputy Secretary to Government Department of Rural Development and PR, dated 7th July 2020 read.
In this communiqué the DC Rajouri was requested to send the compliance report the same day, i.e. 7 July, but after a lapse of three days, when the reminder was issued no further actions had been taken on the part of the DC Rajouri.
It is pertinent to mention here that the J&K Govt in 2018 had cancelled 224 backdoor appointments of GRS, computer operators in district Rajouri, except this blue eyed who escaped axe on job.
If sources are believed, the hectic efforts are being made by his master to shift the computer operator in the DC office to again hoodwink the higher authorities.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Nazir Sheikh did not answer the repeated phone calls of this correspondent for his comment.
