JAMMU, July 11: All India Confederation of SC, ST and OBC Organizations welcomed the direction given by National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) with regard to manipulation in the Reservation Roster in the recruitment at Central University of Jammu.
Addressing a press conference here today, R K Kalsotra, State President who was flanked by Distt President, Ch Shafi Bazzad; Members Retd Addl Director ML Chadgal; Retd Jt. Director Madan Lal; Retd.Director RSETI Mohinder Kumar; Retd Auditor Lakshman Bhagat and Ashraf Ali, while hailing the direction given by the NCBC, said that after investigation into purported manipulation in the Reservation Roster and gross violation of implementation of Reservation Policy in the recruitment at Central University of Jammu to immediately stop the recruitment process over the swapped positions and must not do swapping. Furthermore, Commission also directed the varsity to upload the Reservation Roster system on its website. Kalsotra said, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu with his criminal intention has changed the approved reservation roster of teaching positions on his own and swapped positions reserved for SC and ST with unreserved. All these changes in the Roster do not have the approval of competent bodies even as the meeting of the University Executive had taken place in between and the item was kept in the agenda but the same was withdrawn and not discussed for the reasons best known to the VC, he alleged. Kalsotra demands immediate removal of tainted Vice Chancellor whose tenure was already over but due to present pandemic the MHRD extended his tenure and quest for initiate CBI enquiry against him over the wrong doings in recruitment.
