Jammu, July 12: Sainik Samaj Party (SSP) has demanded revamping of the policy on providing security cover to the vulnerable people.
According to press release, president of party, retired Colonel SS Pathania urged the Lt Governor JKUT to re vamp the existing security policy and various SOPs related on provisioning of security cover to individuals and installations especially in the wake of recent killings of Ajay Pandita, Wasim Bari, his father and brother. It is alarming trend wherein these two incidents have taken place in an interval of less than a months’ time, he said, adding that post abrogation of article 370 and 35 A there appears to be paradigm shift in the security scenario wherein the situation seems to be extremely sensitive simmering with anger amongst certain segments of the society. |
