RAMBAN, July 12: During the ongoing Vanmahotsav observance the CRPF, 84Bn in collaboration with the Forest Division,Batote today planted as many as 1500 plant sapplings in a denuded area in Batote near Amar Chashma today.
The plantation drive was jointly inaugurated by Mritunjay Kumar, 2-I/C -84 BN CRPF and DFO, Batote, Kuldip Singh by planting a kail tree. The 1500 tree sapplings planted by officials of CRPF and Forest Division Batote mostly included tree saplings of Chinar, Kail (Pinus wallichiana), Cidrus deodar etc.
Others who also planted the saplings today included Deputy Commandant, CRPF, Ram Kishen, Assistant Commandants, Ajay Malik and Tek Chand, Inspectors, Rajinder Kumar, Devinder Singh, Pushpender Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh and Tribhavan Singh besides Forest Range Officer, SS Chib and Panch Manzoor Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a similar plantation drive was also carried out by CRPF Bn 84 cops at Battalion headquarter at Bhoom in Chanderkot besides in Kud today. Mritunjay Kumar informed that since World Environment Day on June 5 this year the CRPF.Bn 84 has so far planted as many as 4500 tree sapplings in Batote,Chanderkot and Kud area in collaboration with the Forest Divison Batote under the supervision of DFO,Batote Kuldip Singh.
