Every year from June to August lakhs of pilgrims from different parts of the country visits and pay their obeisance to Holy Shrines of Shri Amarnath Ji Kashmir and Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Poonch during the period of both the pilgrimages. In the prevailing situation, during the period of COVID-19 Pandemic disease, the cases are increasing day by day, the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory administration has taken various steps according to Shri Amarnath Ji annual pilgrimage in Kashmir, the Union territory Adminstration in consultation with Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine board has already decided that Only 500 pilgrims have been allowed per day by road to reach the holy cave of Amarnath Ji shrine this year and also follow all the regulations as per the SOPs issued by the Administration. Every year, on the eve of Raksha Bandhan and before Raksha Bandhan during Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra organised by Vishav Hindu Parishad and Bajrang dal thousands of devotees from across the country visits Shri Budha Amarnath ji to pay their obeisance at the holy Shrine Situated at Village mandi in district Poonch. Taking everything into notice Live Aarti at Amarnath Ji cave, live-streaming from the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Ji to the pilgrims for the first time ever Special arrangements made by the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board and the Union Territory administration for the live telecast of the aarti,Poojan and darshan of the Natural Shiv lingham. The telecast is live on Doordarshan Bharti from 8 am to 10 am and on Doordarshan National from 5:30 pm to 6 pm and it will be continued. But till date the Union Territory Administration has not taken any decision for the annual pilgrimage of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji and Chhari Yatra two days before Raksha Bandhan every year. The annual pilgrimage of the Shri Budha Amarnath ji starts in the last week of July or first week of the August every year till the Raksha Bandhan and every year before the two days of the Raksha Bandhan ‘Chhari yatra’ leaves from Dashnami Akhara Poonch town to the holy sacred place of the Shri Budha Amarnath ji. Last year, due to Security reasons the annual pilgrimage for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji was also cancelled due to Security reasons and Chhari Yatra was also limited and restricted due to enforcement by the district administration. It is pertinent to mention here that thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir and all over India visit Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine during Shrawan holy month to celebrate the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. But time around, since there are restrictions for movement in all over Country due to the coronavirus pandemic, devotees may not be able to reach the Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine. Union territory Administration in consultation with District administration Poonch, the heads of Vishav Hindu Parishad, Dashnami Akahada Committee, Budha Amarnath Mandir Committe and Mahant Dashnami Akahada Poonch Shri Shri 1008 Rajguru Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishwatma Nand Saraswati Ji Maharaj Similar arrangments like Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra of Kashmir may also be made there at Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine located at Rajpura, Mandi District Poonch. Administration should ensure limited presence of devotees who are interested to come for this holy pilgrimage at Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine and to pay their respects and obesiences be allowed with special transport facility arrangements by following the guidelines of the SOPs. Poonch District administration and particularly the department of information and broadcasting may kindly be directed to ensure the live telecast of the morning and evening Aarti,Poojan and Darshan from the sacred Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine. Because of the reason that millions of the devotees all over the country as well as in the world are sentimentally attached with the holy Shrine of Budha Amarnath Ji. Lieutenant Governor is further appealed to facilitate necessary arrangements for the Chhari yatra which ensues two days prior to Shrawan Purnima i.e Raksha Bandhan. In view of the pandemic and prevailing situation District administration Poonch should also make necessary arrangements for live telecast of Chhari Mubarak and Sharwan Purnima festival from Budha Amarnath mandi Poonch. Security related arrangments coupled with necessary facilities may also be provided to the pilgrims who will be coming from far off places all over India. Deputy Commissioner Poonch should also provide and install sanitize tunnels at Dashnami Akahada Poonch and Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Shrine, Health Care system for Pilgrims with immunity boosting medicines, disinfectants, masks, sanitizers and should also be ensured for making this Yatra safe and Sound.
