Saksham Samaj Sankalp launches tree plantation drive in Gazian

JAMMU, July 13: The social organisation Saksham Samaj Sankalp (Triple-S) in collaboration with the Halqa Panchayat Gazian of Miran Sahib Block organized a plantation drive at Cremation ground Gazian. In all 30 plants including Sukhchen, Alstonia Scolaris , Guava, Loquat, Mango, Litchi were planted during the plantation drive.
The Sarpanch Surinder Singh Sandhu, Naib Sarpanch, panches of the Panchayat Gazian alongwith the members of Saksham Samaj Sankalp(Triple-S) carried out the plantation drive at the cremation ground. Sh Surinder Sandhu appreciated the efforts of Triple-S in sustaining the environment by planting plants and assured of all help in taking good care of the planted plants in his panchayat.
The Secretary of the Saksham Samaj Sankalp(Triple-S), Mr Chander Mohan stated that this is the first phase of the plantation drive here and after covering area of Gazian, the plantation drives shall be continued in the adjoining areas too in the monsoons period. He on behalf of the social organization thanked the Sarpanch for the sensitivity shown by him towards the care of the environment and emphasized that the collaboration at the grassroots level shall go a long way in saving the environment for the good of the humanity.The other present during the plantation drive were Ruchika Sharma, Komal Sharma, Ravi Rai, Ravi Chander, Amit Sharma, Piyush Kant, Naveen, Jyoti.
