SRINAGAR, July 14: BJP’s Kashmir Unit on Tuesday stated that party president Shri Ravinder Raina has been tested positive for COVID19 infection and all those party workers who came in contact with him would undergo Covid19 tests followed by mandatory quarantine. Party’s senior leader and Kashmir Media In-charge Manzoor Bhat in a statement stated that J&K BJP President Shri Ravinder Raina who was on his four-day visit to Valley following the killing of party leader in Bandipora has been reported positive for Covid19 and all those who came in his contact here would undergo mandatory Covid19 tests.
“We will go for proper testing and will follow all the SOP’s. We have stopped all the public events in the coming days until our report would be confirmed. We will support the administration in every aspect,” he said. Bhat said he would provide the list of the workers who met the president in the party office to health authorities, so that everyone among us would be tested. “We have initiated the process with the local administration and whatever is needed will be done on our part. Party would follow SOP’s in every part,” he said.
He said he himself would provide the list of workers who met the party president and would also go for home quarantine until the test report would return from the hospital laboratory.
Bhat also prayed for the speedy recovery of the BJP President and urged all those workers whose name is not in the list to come forward and do their covid19 tests in their nearest hospitals.
