District Officer forces subordinates to carry out unlawful works 7/14/2020 11:52:46 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, July 14: BDO Poonch is being forced by a district officer for issuance of NOC in favour of a blue eyed advocate and his party at any cost. The District Officer is forcing the BDO to issue it at any cast which means he has some personal interest with that advocate and party. The issue has cropped up after revelations that some ‘goons’ who are indulged in illegal construction in Flood Zone area near Sher e Kashmir bridge Poonch are approaching the BDO Poonch for the issuance of No Objection Certificate. The blue eyed advocate who is very close to district officers wants some illegal works from administration who are on the job to shift the bus stand to Red Zone area. The BDO has issued a letter to Executive Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Department and Tehsildar Haveli in this regard saying he has no concern at all. District Magistrate Poonch vide his order dated 31-12-2014 number DMP/J3247-57 with the title “Ban on all types of construction repair/restoration of existing building along both bank of the Suran in washed away area near Sher e Kashmir bridge from Police line to confluence of Betar Nalah district Poonch” and issued another by sitting DM Poonch vide no. DMP/J/2037-40 dated 27-10-2018 by the same title has directed SSP Poonch and Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) to submit action report to this office at earliest. Now the same DM is going to shift all Poonch property to the same Red Zone. Sources informed Early Times that a district officer is threatening BDO for issuance of NOC at otherwise he will punish him. Not only BDO sources further informed that the officer is forcing some other subordinates for unlawful works. Locals are shocked by the attitude of this district officer and have appealed to Lieutenant Governor to transfer the officer.
