DC Rajouri reviews COVID-19 control measures in Koteranka

RAJOURI, July 14: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh along with a team of officers of the district administration on Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of several areas of Koteranka tehsil including Smote,Draj,Mohra Takkian,Budhal and others to take a comprehensive stock of COVID-19 containment measures in these areas.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kohli, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka,Surinder Mohan Sharma,Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Sanjeev Puri, Tehsildar Koteranka, Tehsildar Budhal, BMO Budhal and other sectoral officers.
The Deputy Commissioner, while interacting with the BDC Chairperson, Sarpanchs, panchs and general public sought cooperation in the fight against the Novel CoronaVirus.
He said that the district administration Rajouri is working tirelessly to mitigate the pandemic in the district and to ensure the convenience of general public amid these crisis. He stressed that only joint efforts of the public and the district administration can save people from the deadly coronavirus.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the PRI members to play a significant role in containing the spread of COVID-19 in the district by generating awareness among the people of their areas about the preventive measures.
He urged upon the public to extend their cooperation with the district administration by following all the SOPs guidelines to ensure fruitful and effective fight against the CoronaVirus pandemic in the district.
The BDC chairperson, Sarpnachs, Panchs and locals of the area appreciated the efforts of district administration in containing and management of the COVID. They also assured that all the SOPs shall be followed in the areas.
