EARLY TIMES REPORT

KATHUA, July 15: Demanding immediate arrest of main accused in Badala murder case, villagers and Bharatiya Janta Party activists today staged massive demonstration in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office and blocked ever busy Kathua-Kalibari road. The protesters raised slogans against administration and demanded immediate action against all the accused involved in the murder of Deepak Kumar of Badala.
Addressing the protestors senior BJP leader and Incharge Jammu District Prem Nath Dogra alleged that due to negligence of administration a particular community encroached the state land in entire Kathua, adding that despite repeated requests, the administration failed to initiate action against the violators.
“A particular community, who had settled in the state land here from other parts of UT, is involved in anti-social activities. Some members of this communi

The main accused should be arrested immediately and the administration initiate a drive against the illegal occupant on state land soon, otherwise a massive demonstration would be launched soon, he demanded.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Om Parkash Bhagat reached on the spot and pacified the agitators and assured them that administration shall act strictly against those elements who are involved in the murder case and other anti-social elements. After the assurance, the protestors lifted the blockade and allowed the vehicular movement.
On the occasion, President Municipal Council Kathua Naresh Sharma, District President BJP Ragunandan Singh, Anirudh Bharti and Indu Rekha also addressed the protesters.
